High-Intensity, Low-Frequency Pulsed Electromagnetic Field as an Odd Treatment in a Patient with Mixed Foot Ulcer: A Case Report

Lower-extremity ulcers are associated with an increasing prevalence and significant economic social costs. To date, there is no high-quality evidence related to optimal treatment algorithm. A multimodal approach needed particularly in patients comorbidity polytherapy. Herein, we report the case of a 94-year-old Caucasian female polytherapy who was admitted our observation for history (1 year) chronic painful malleolar mixed ulcer. After clinical evaluation, she treated twice daily pain relief therapy weekly diamagnetic protocol plus local treatment. During examination, documented statistically improvement both (VAS score from 8 2 p < 0.01) foot ulcer (surface reduction 6 cm × 4 cm, at sixth week combined The completely healed ninth week. This first study document effect as add-on management wound healing. In conclusion, even if still lacking, might represent interesting option
